At Gobanaise Finds, your decorative art flea market offers for sale a very beautiful painting from the Art Deco period, 1920s/1930s, depicting a stunning still life featuring a bouquet of flowers (peonies) in a vase. Signed in the lower right "Grisier," if I am not mistaken, this composition is typical of flower still lifes from the French school of the early 20th century. It is an oil on canvas with a wooden frame, in a gilded wooden frame with a small stucco border. A very beautiful composition in a fairly classic impressionist style.
The overall condition of the canvas is very good, and the frame shows a very slight amount of wear on the borders (see detailed photographs). A lovely size that fits well in various settings, this painting is very representative of floral pictorial art from the wonderful Art Deco period.
