Rare and authentic Art Deco mushroom lamp signed Aubin Ollier for La Verrerie Des Hanot. One of the most beautiful pressed glass lamps of this era that I have ever seen, the floral patterns are magnificent and thick with an alternation of stylized flowers and geometric motifs. The hexagonal hat is held by a hammered silvered bronze claw also taking up the flowery symbolism of the lamp.
The base decorated with relief tulips and roses is also illuminated. Refined, this lamp becomes a true diamond once lit. The light then highlights the beautiful floral decor, a true ode to the expertise of French glassmakers. The lamp has been rewired with a translucent cable because the original cable was too old. Very good condition, I note a wire inside the lamp base and at the level of the hat for several cm without impact and not visible.
Dimensions: 34 cm high X 20 cm wide. Truly an authentic gem of Art Deco not to be missed. Graduated from the École Centrale in 1890, Aubin OLLIER was first a manufacturer of wheels and copperware for furniture, before taking over the activities of the establishments Fargues & Apcher, a renowned producer of crystals and glassware for lighting and supplier to the City of Paris or the Railway Company. He also founded in 1931 Les Établissements Ollier et Cie to operate three stores in Paris, the largest of which was located at numbers 20, 21 and 24 rue de l'Hirondelle. As well as reserves in Aubervilliers. His offer was aimed at individuals and lighting equipment manufacturers and included many models from Muller Frères, des Hanots or Bohemian glassware. It also presented registered models that bore his own signature, as is the case with this pressed glass mushroom lamp offered in his general catalog of August 1932 under reference 2307.
