Elegant pair of bookends in regule representing two storks from the Art Deco period signed Frecourt by the famous French sculptor Maurice Frécourt 1890-? Subject also visible as a car mascot. Estimated period: first half of the 20th century. Time wear on the patina of the regule, dark gray color. Beautiful and fine representation especially of their heads but also of their morphology and plumage.

The terraces are made of white marble veined with gray. They are in good condition and chamfered. Total dimensions (storks and terraces): 13.5 x 6x 6 cm.
