Léon laurent galand (April 18, 1872 – November 4, 1960) was a French painter and illustrator. Léon galand, born in Montpellier in 1872, was the pupil of ernest michel, robert delaunay, gustave moreau, fernand cormon and joseph blanc. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français in 1904 and won a gold medal and a second prize in Roma, an honorable mention in 1903 at the Salon des Artistes Français, a third-class medal in 1909, and a gold medal. It was decorated with the Legion of Honour in 1924.
