DAX - Ceramic Polar Bear signed on the terrace Ceramic Polar Bear signed DAX - "brown" model - rare! This model represents a polar bear walking on the ice floe, made of ceramic in pure Art Deco style and signed "DAX" on the terrace. The model exists in several colorful variations, this one being a color that can be described as between beige and milk chocolate.
The firing has resulted in a more speckled and glazed result rather than cracked, making each piece different. Produced by the Orchies earthenware factory, the hand-painted model before firing is attributed in design to "Edouard Cazauz", whose pseudonym (DAX) appears on the terrace, at the back of the bear's hind leg.
