RARE Lustre Art Déco cristal Etched DISC signe EZAN, chandelier ceiling light

  
Here we are proud to offer an incredibly Rare 1920s/30s Signed Ezan Elmahdi French Ceiling Light, complete with its original disc generally these are circular this is in a very hard to find hexagon shape. This magnificent light has been removed fully working from an old American Protestant Temple when they changed location. In the heart of France the City of Chateauroux once had a strong American presence due to a military base. We can imagine this light was chosen for the temple in part due to the etching on the disc resembling the Icthys'Jesus'fish. These lights rarely come available intact with the original fragile disc, great care will of course be taken packing such a precious piece.

Height 47cm 18.5 adjustable by cutting the copper. The signs of it's near 100 years age.

Ceiling rose has lost the original copper ring which would have held it up. This can be replaced, unfortunately I don't have one in this size currently I have fashioned a piece of thick copper wire which does the job.

There is 1 area of discoloration in the ceiling rose copper only visible from 1 side. The glass disc has 1 small chipped area genuinely so small it would not be visible in situ and had to be searched for to photograph.

I have photographed these minor points as clearly and brutally as possible and heavily reflected in what is a very low asking price for one of these gems.
